This Christmas, crystal luxury label Swarovski and the Knightsbridge Business Group will unveil a five meter Swarovski crystal snowflake that will light up Knightsbridge. The snowflake marks the first ever Christmas decoration in Knightsbridge. Designed by leading lighting designer Ingo Maurer, the shiny snowflake will hang between Harvey Nichols and Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park from 8th December to 5th January.
A miniature version will be sold as a holiday gift at Harvey Nichols and Harrods. Swarovski will donate a percentage of proceeds to Unicef. For one day on 7th December, the ornaments will also be available at the Crystallyzed™ Swarovski Elements wrapping store in Elizabeth Street.
“It is a great honour to work with Ingo Maurer on the creation of the Swarovski Snowflake, which will light up Knightsbridge during the holiday season. We are grateful to the Knightsbridge Business Group to have approached us for this amazing project, and thrilled that Unicef will benefit from the sale of the snowflake ornament,” said Nadja Swarovski.
The lighting ceremony will take place at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, Knightsbridge on Monday 8th December at 7pm.
